The Results Are In!

School council members sprung into our meeting this week excited to share all the imaginative budget requests gathered from the student body.

We entertained ourselves with the various requests including a helicopter to get us to and from swimming, an ice cream van, several bouncy castles (the ones with slides) and an ant farm - thank you Mr Roberts, before revealing the more realistic decisions to spend each class budget of £50.

After much excitement and deliberation, the results are in:

Student council have decided that every child deserves an ice cream at the end of term so part of each class budget will be spent on an ice cream van to visit at the end of term.

Likewise, all three classes asked for Lego and/or toys for golden time to reward hard work in school and finally a section of the budget will be spent on iPad Apps to aid learning.

School Council would like to thank every student who put a request forward and cast a vote - you made a difference! Likewise, a huge well done to all the school council members who fulfilled their responsibilities with such pride and dedication- thank you!

School Council members are aware of their responsibilities and are happy to act as a voice for the class they represent.

As Children in Need approaches we will be looking for different ways to raise money so get your thinking caps on! To ensure that their voice is heard, please encourage your child to approach a school council member, if they have any ideas on what we could do for Children in Need this year. Similarly, any issues or fabulous suggestions that could add to our positive school climate or an individual classroom routine are always welcome!
