Where, Were Wear or We're?

We're NOT confused!

Watergate have had a wonderful week. The children have been singing and dancing in maths again, getting our brains and bodies ready for learning. Watergate were challenged to count in 2s, 5s and 10s, before applying their skills to answer multiplication calculations.

When approaching a multiplication question, we need to ask ourselves “Can we count in…” to remind ourselves of how to solve these calculations.

We have been busy in SPAG this week looking at tenses and homophones. The children worked hard, in guided reading groups, to identify and explain the difference between past and present verbs, and there, their and they’re. Some of us extended our learning to investigate where, wear, were and we’re-amazing! It would be very beneficial if you could support your child’s identification and understanding of these important elements of SPAG. The following website is a great resource.

Their, There & They're

Watergate were delighted to receive their scripts for the KS1 Christmas Performance and we have started practising our staging, lines and dances. Please support your child with their lines as we hope to abandon scripts in the next two weeks.

Have a restful weekend.
