Planting a Seed...

Watergate have had a great week.

On Monday the children got messy in art and inspired by Eric Carle, author and illustrator, the children created some wonderful rainforest art- well done Watergate.

Mrs Wynne continued Bush Craft with Watergate on Wednesday and the children got creative and made some leaf poems before going outside to conduct a scavenger hunt and create some leaf art.

Please ensure your child comes to school dressed in school uniform and has a change of clothes for bush craft because it is on Wednesday afternoons.

The children started their science exploration this week, working hard to identify the parts of a flowering plant and set up an experiment to investigate needs of a plant- super. We look forward to observing and recording the results over the next two weeks.

In addition, the children worked hard in Spanish to identify and name animals- well done Watergate.

The following link provides correct pronunciation of animals in Spanish and has a game that will consolidate your child learning.

This youtube video is also a great resource to share with your child.

In maths this week, Watergate have focused on missing number calculations. They are using their understanding of inverse operations and number bonds to solve these calculations.

Have a lovely weekend.
