Watergate have had a fantastic week.

The children have been working hard to apply their knowledge and understanding of measurement to practical activities and concluded their week my weighing out the ingredients needed to cook porridge- super work Watergate.

Subsequently, the children used their experience to write instructions that inform the reader of the steps involved in making porridge. With porridge on their minds, the children also wrote letters to PC Bartlett, requesting any further information on the Porridge Theif. We look forward to his reply.

The following videos and games are an excellent way to consolidate your child’s new understanding of measuring weight and temperature.

Watergate have been busy in art this week, learning about the anonymous graffiti artist, Banksy. The children have procured some wonderful Banksy inspired art work that we have proudly displayed in our classroom- well done Watergate.

Watergate started their exploration of Christian Parables last week in Religious and Cultural Studies and have focused on the parable of The Lost Sheep. They have worked hard to sequence and retell the story before writing their own versions independently- excellent Watergate.

Have a relaxing weekend
