'An Outstanding School' – Ofsted June 2015   Read the report here

Future Stars.

This week, Northgate have worked extremely hard to bring all of their extensive learning together.

They have been rehearsing and perfecting their assembly, making sure they’re super confident to describe the different facts they have learnt throughout the past 6 weeks. Northgate have also been working hard this week to complete their half-termly assessments, demonstrating their skills and have worked exceptionally hard.

On Tuesday, the children took a break from assessment and rehearsals to enjoy pancake day within the classroom. The children enjoyed tucking into their pancakes, choosing which yummy toppings makes the perfect pancake.

A big question Northgate have been posing throughout our transdisciplinary learning has been ‘What will transport look like in the future?’. They enjoyed watching Wall-E as a treat for their hard work on Thursday afternoon, which lead to some interesting evaluations. The children questioned whether the advancements in technology and transport could affect their health. The children began to discuss the importance of keeping our bodies healthy and active.

As an introduction to the transdisciplinary theme next term, ‘Who We Are’, the children have been tasked to complete a fact file about a chosen culture during the half term. A separate letter has been sent out detailing the expectations for this. Please ensure the children have the opportunity to complete their research, as this will really help their learning and sharing their knowledge with the rest of the class on their return to school.

Thank you again for attending our assembly this week – the children should be immensely proud of how hard they have worked.

Have an enjoyable half term break,

The Year Three Team.
