Our Secret Week.

On Monday the children from Northgate went to Delamere forest to start their orienteering adventure. The children found it a bit of a challenge to trudge through the muddy forest in order to find the hidden controls but loved every minute, and no one got lost! The groups all finished in record time and enjoyed a well-earned refreshment at the end.

In maths this week Northgate have been learning and developing the grid method to help with large number multiplication. This method partitions larger numbers to make it more relatable to the timetables the children are currently learning.

On Wednesday the children were very excited about their visit to the Storyhouse to see "The Secret Seven”. Northgate thoroughly enjoyed the interactive performance, solving the mystery as it unfolded in front of them. The next day the children were keen to write and perform reviews of the play and are looking forward to reading the selection of Secret Seven books we have in school.
