Dividing Together!

We are dividing!

This week we have been trying everything to get the attention of the birds from the Lost and Found story. We have learnt about what birds like and even built some nests. The children used different resources to build different sized nests to make homes for different types of birds.

Not only have we been busy creating but we have been busy sharing as the children have spent time sharing feathers into equal groups. We have been counting carefully and even beyond 20! The children have then been sharing the feathers equally into 2 nests. We have spoke about the word equal and what this means. For a challenge the children have been even dividing by 3 groups. Super job!

Next week is going to be very exciting as we go on our trip to Chester Zoo. The children will require a full P.E kit (joggers please), waterproof coat, hat and gloves. They will not need their book bag on this day or their zoo pass. If you are a volunteer please bring your zoo pass if you have one. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered.
