Time Flies!

A1 W81

In our last week of our very first half term we have been celebrating 'Harvest'.

We have spoken about why we celebrate harvest and how we can help others at this time, such as supporting the food banks and making collections of food for people in need. The children were amazing when recognising the importance of growing and harvesting after our recent visit to Ness Gardens. We also made Harvest Crowns to celebrate not only harvest but also the autumn months.

Following on from the mini-beast hunt the children experienced in Ness Botanic Gardens, the children have had a visit from the Chester Zoo Mini-Beast Ranger. The ranger brought in a range of different bugs and insects for the children to see and learn more about.

We have also gone pumpkin crazy this week as the children put together a design for their pumpkin. We then had the opportunity to design and decorate the pumpkins that each child had brought in for homework. Thank you for providing them. The children really enjoyed using different paints and glitters to create a fantastic pumpkin which we hope scared trick or treaters away!

The team have loved our first half with the children. We have made wonderful memories and we

We can’t wait to continue this next half term. Please see below some information about swimming and please refer to the homework blog, as there is lots of information about the requirements on the first week back.

Many thanks,

Miss Bowler, Miss Howarth and Mrs Thombs.
