We have had another fantastic week in Eastgate this week!
During maths lessons this week the children firstly looked at roman numerals and converted many modern day numerals into roman numerals. They even worked out the date! The children have been working extra hard on their column addition and subtraction skills this week. They have even learnt how to check their answers through using the inverse!
In English, the children have completed letters of application for a sports ambassador position at St Martins! We have also been looking at the story ‘Through the Magic Mirror’. Firstly, the children completed a setting description of a world they would like to travel to if they walked through a magic mirror. The children then used their initial ideas to create their very own story based on an alternate world!
Also, in their Topic work this week, Eastgate have created some amazing aboriginal style portraits through the use of dot work! In French, the children worked on their word recognition of numbers where they played a French memory game in pairs.
Finally, during R.E, we have continued to develop our understanding of the Buddhist religion, by learning about each area of the Eightfold path.
We hope you have a lovely weekend.
The Year 4 Team.
