We passionately believe in developing pupils who 'Learn for Life' and equipping them with the skills needed for an increasingly complex and globalised world. St Martin's Academy provides wrap around care and extended school days, in order to provide the richest curriculum possible, which focuses not only on academics but the development of the whole child, through our unique 'beyond curriculum' focus.
St Martin's Academy provides a broad and balanced curriculum, which blends academic progress with a wide range of extra curricular and beyond curricular activities. As the school day is longer than the traditional 9am to 3.30pm timeframe, it allows us to spend sufficient time on the core subjects and attain high levels of progress for all groups of children. It also enables us to provide sufficient 'beyond curriculum' activities in the arts and sports to enable children to flourish in these areas too. The Academy encompasses all that is good in education, offering children many learning experiences beyond the traditional. By learning with a global perspective through the International Baccalaureate® Primary Years Programme, our pupils are exceptionally well equipped as they move on to the next stage of their education.
St Martin's is a school that caters for the modern family, but does not just pay lip service to the extended day. The Academy is focused on ensuring all children have the opportunity to grow and learn in an environment that is rich, varied and ensures outstanding educational outcomes, regardless of ability or background. Open for 51 weeks a year, 8am to 6pm, our school works in partnership with children and parents to achieve the best outcome for every child.
